Home Sweet Home

Whoa! It has certainly been quite some time since my last post. Much has changed; I have graduated college, started grad school, lost friends, gained new ones, and most recently, bought a home. When it came to decorating a home, I thought it would be much like styling an outfit. Boy was I wrong! Making sure that everything blends together and is cohesive is so much more difficult than I could have ever imagined. Here are some images that drew inspiration from when putting together looks for my new home.

 

 

Of course, all these images are from Pinterest. I practically lived on there the months and weeks leading up until closing day. Even though, the bulk of the moving has been complete, I still feel like there is so much more to be done. I guess it'll never end.

With classes back in session and summer coming to a close, I find it difficult to hold my excitement. I continue to grow more giddy everyday as fall approaches just thinking about boots, cashmere, wool, and dramatic jackets. Now don't get me wrong, I love summer just as much as the next girl, but there is just something about the chilly weather that brings out the best that fashion has to offer. To me, fall is all about being covered in lush, warm colors and I do not believe that anything else can make a woman look/feel more chic. So the time has come to get those Tory Burch riding boots and grab your wool Burberry coat because it's now time for some serious dressing.

So I have been on the search for the perfect stationary & I believe that I have finally found it. I am obsessed with all the paper goods from Walnut Paperie. Everything is perfect and in its place. It is exactly what a great stationary should be and something I will be more than happy to put my name on.

summer cosmetics i'm cravingggg.

On my latest trip to the cosmetic counter at Saks, i was scanning over the new luscious shades for summer. I completely fell in love with YSL's Le Fuschia #7 (not the one pictured above). It is everything a summer lip color should be. PLUS, it looks fabulous on any skin color! I also have taken fancy to Chanel's nail colour Dragon. This color is simply gorgeous and oober eye catching. Just perfect for the beach or a night out on the town.

currently blowing up my ipod.

lately i have been listening to almost nothing but adele. i have always had weird obsession with british artists, but she moves to another level. her music is so relatable it's almost ridiculous. i feel as though i have experienced something in all of her songs. the song that has been on repeat quite often is "somebody like you". every girl has that one boy that they will always keep in back of their mind and think 'what if...' and this song is about just that. she is completely ah-may-zing.

my heaven. . .

after spending my afternoon looking back on my trip to Paris, i cam across this picture and it made me smile. this and the eiffel tower were the highlights of my trip there. i almost cried when i stepped through those big fancy doors that held inside them all my love and dreams.

i found this, read it, and smiled. i believe that this is so true. everyone should feel this way. it is not about all the fancy things some has, or the people they know, it is completely about the person and who they are.
